7 Apples on a Saturday Night | Just Take the Just Out

7 Apples on a Saturday Night

“I am ‘just'” ……..no. I am.

Playing small isn’t serving anyone or anything – except our insecurities and excuses. Trust me, I know this to be true because I’ve said it to myself for years. “I’m just me, what can I do? Who am I to think I can do this?” Could it be time for us to change it up and remove the limits from our mindsets?

I’m just one.

I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something I can do. ~ Everett Hales

I’m just me.

Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You. ~ Dr. Seuss

It’s just a couple of dollars.

It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving. ~ Mother Teresa

I just can’t do it.

Whether you think you can or whether you think you can’t, you’re right. ~ Henry Ford

Just once

Some choices we live not only once but a thousand times over, remembering them for the rest of our lives. ~ Richard Bach

It’s just a drop in the bucket

….but that one drop changes the molecular structure of that body of water forever. When you add salt to a meal, it can’t be unsalted. If you put sugar in your coffee, it can never be un-sugared – a new cup has to be poured. When we consider how one tiny drop or granule changes everything, it gives perspective to being a ‘just’ user, doesn’t it?

I have been very aware recently of my use of this word and am conscientiously working to remove it from my vocabulary when it diminishes who I was created to be. Do you think of yourself as ‘just’ or have you too recognized the importance of removing that limiting word?

Unless of course, it’s in the context of…

Just do it!

Why is it “7 Apples on a Saturday Night”? – explained here.

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round heads in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. But the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do." ~ Jack Kerouac
