Stop With the <3 <3 <3!

Nope, I won’t do it. I am gushy, mushy and affectionate and I like that about myself. There are cliches we say get over-used, but “I Love You” doesn’t fit the cliche category. We have but one life to live and I’d rather be known for expressing love than withholding it because it sounds too easy, is used too much or considered to be empty words by some. I’m authentic when I tell a friend or family member that I love them, even if they hear it repeatedly. I mean it.

Sure, there are many different kinds and levels of love and just as many ways to express it. One of my favourite memories is singing this song by Stevie Wonder to one of my close friends when I’d call her after I moved to a different city. We both instantly started laughing and singing it together.

Is there someone in your life who needs you to stop in your tracks and share the love? Yah? Then why don’t you do just that?!  If “love” isn’t the right word, pick what suits you. You can also share this video in less than 30 seconds to turn someone’s day upside down, energizing them and offering them an instant pick-me-up.

Not convinced? Here’s another fun one to encourage you to express yourself….don’t hold back, life won’t wait!

Do you think those 3 little words get used too much? (Be careful how you answer – HA!)

PS – I love you.

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round heads in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. But the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do." ~ Jack Kerouac
